Fred Atkins Community Service Fund
J. Atkins Community Service Fund was launched in 2011 with gifts of
nearly $4,000 made to Unity House upon Fred’s passing in March 2009.
The fund now stands at nearly $30,000. This amount generates enough interest to
provide a cash award to the annual Atkins Award recipient, an
outstanding individual who volunteers in Cayuga County and who
exemplifies Fred’s high moral standards and philanthropic spirit.
Board Discretionary Fund (BDF)

into the fund. Donors are welcome to contribute financial assets to
the BDF with the assurance that they will be held in perpetuity for
the benefit of Unity House.
Donations made in memoriam at the time of death are automatically designated to the BDF unless otherwise directed by the donor.
Is there a Unity
House service or program area that is close to your heart? Chances
are it could benefit from your generous donation. Please let us know
how you would like us to designate your gift.
