ABOUT Unity House
Unity House of Cayuga County, Inc. provides transitional
and permanent housing, respite care, and rehabilitative and
employment services for adults with mental health illnesses,
developmental disabilities, and/or chemical dependencies from
which they are recovering. A nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization,
Unity House partners with these individuals to develop their
personal skills and potential, enabling them to live more full
and independent lives. The agency serves more than 700 consumers
a day in six central New York counties; individuals are accepted
by referral only. Unity House is committed to freeing our
communities of misconceptions associated with disabilities
through innovation, education, and advocacy.

PWDD Services
Unity House
provides those with
developmental disabilities with residential, day
habilitation, and service coordination services that
motivate, support, and guide them in achieving personal
growth, individual goals, and greater independence. |

MENTAL
HEALTH Services
Our services for individuals with mental health
illnesses offer a variety of housing options and
rehabilitation and support programs, including a
stand-alone Intensive Psychiatric Rehabilitation Treatment
program (IPRT) with a family consultation component. |

EMPLOYMENT
Services
Unity Employment Services (UES) assists individuals with disabilities in securing competitive employment in Cayuga, Onondaga, Seneca, Ontario, and Wayne counties. Serves as liaison for employee-employer relations, and provides on-site employment support after job placement. |

ALCOHOL
and CHEMICAL DEPENDENCY Services
G.R.A.C.E. House is dedicated to the recovery of
individuals suffering from alcoholism and other chemical
dependencies. Services include a community residence,
individualized recovery plans supported by staff and
peers, and a separate supported living program. |

PROFESSIONAL
NURSING Services
Our nursing department is composed of highly qualified registered nurses, each working in concert with the OPWDD residential program managers to ensure all physician orders and recommendations are implemented. All nurses are OPWDD-cross-trained in Cayuga and Tompkins Counties to ensure quality medical care for all individuals served. |

CONSUMER ADVISORY PANELS
These panels in Cayuga and Tompkins Counties offer an avenue for
consumers to provide feedback and constructive criticism about the
services they receive. In a confidential setting with staff, service
recipients are welcome to voice their concerns and share suggestions for
improvement. |
